Weddings and events in Tuscany

This glorious region is where every postcard of Tuscany seems to lead into life itself… medieval villages hide tiny restaurants where a simple lunch can be become a memorable meal washed down with fine Tuscan wine. Starting from the North, Tuscany offers wonderful coastal retreats known for their flat sandy beaches and gentle waters, Stretching from Versilia all the way down to Punta Ala (perched on a promotory) this area provides excellent opportunities for a wonderful holiday or a memorable event.

Further inland from Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi is Pietrasanta, a town of considerable artistic and cultural importance full of marble workshops and numerous sculpture studios. Not to forget the magnificient scenery of lake Massaciuccoli, source of constant inspiration to the famous composer Giacomo Puccini, is a heaven of piece.

Lucca, a gorgeous medieval city just 20 kilometers from Versilia and 60 kilometers from Florence, famous for its towering walls, numerous aristocratic villas and impressive elliptical shaped piazza dell’Anfiteatro built on the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheatre and surrounded by the most beautiful hilly landscape full of olive groves, vineyards and mature woods. Many of the villas and estates in this area have opened their doors to host memorable private events. As far as Central Tuscany is concerned there are literally dozens of pretty towns and villages, most notably Greve in Chianti which hosts the area’s biggest wine fair, Castellina, Radda, San Gimignano, one of the loveliest towns in Tuscany, a medieval masterpiece whose impressive towers dominate the landscape for miles around. Further South at 665 meters Montepulciano is the highest of the Tuscan hills towns, full of Renaissance palaces and churches and perfectly located in the heart of the Vino Nobile wine growing district. Within a few kilometers of Montepulciano there are other lovely towns such as Pienza and San Quirico d’Orcia.
